We have a fabulous time climbing, making and creating faces on the trees in Hetchell Woods near Wetherby. They familes and Daisy the dog joined in.
Survival Day at Richmond Hill Academy
The year 4 pupils enjoyed learning about what to take with you in a rucksack in case you get stranded on an island. They are reading ‘Wild Robot’ which is a story about surviving in the wild. Amanda Panda from Chevin Forest School shared some first hand experiences of den building, fire making and whittling.
Forest School at Gateways School Harewood
Amanda Panda Joined the Play In Team at Gateways School with a Forest School session. The dens were very creative with singing, names and zones. The children used their whittling skills to make bows and arrows and sticks. The treasure hunt was tricky for one group but they found it in the end.
