The group of Guides and their leaders explored Gallows Hill Nature reserve with Amanda Panda . We played a decision game to get us to the base came where I challenged them to group fire making. They all lit a fire so that they could cook, pancakes , brioche and marshmallows. We found interesting nest a moth had created to protect the caterpillars.
Spoons Spoons we made at the Chevin holiday club
The children had a go at using Amanda Panda's new tool to carve spoons. We also had team fire lighting followed by cooking sponge cake in tins. 'They were yummy' said Charlie.
Toddlers Owl experience at Chevin Forest School
The children ho came to the Chevin Forest School learnt about owls today. We looked at the stuffed Barn owl, read the book 'Wow said the Owl' then they hunted the twany toy owl by following a trail. The children did a huge loud 'tweet a wooo' to show their enjoyment t the end of the session.
