The children enjoyed finding seeds, nuts and spiky shells to make faces and animals that are due to hibernate for the Winter.
We had fun designing and making Stick Man. Goggly eyes were popular and we held them and retold the story. The children enjoyed toasting the marshmallows over the fire.
Well we have fun at dusk and dark with the cubs tonight up on the Chevin. The children did orienteering with torches to find treasure ! Then built a huge rope swing in the trees.
Amanda Panda went along to the Gala organised by Parkinson's Park Friends. The Chevin Forest School had fun making stick men, bows and arrows, and wands with lots and lots of the local community of children from 2 years to 10 years old.
The children made some fabulous tools and sticks then decorated them. We did a bilberry and black berry hunt too, very yummy!
Although we had showers and rainbows over the last 2 days of the Holiday Forest club they children loved the mud, making and doing in the woods. We pond dipped and had our picnic on the benches with the fabulous view of Otley below.
Charlotte enjoyed her Forest school party today. She was joined by some of regular forest schoolers so there wee many experienced girls at hand. They had picnics in trees and on swings.
A mum commented on her son's 7th Birthday party with Chevin Forest School ,

The twins loved their birthday Forest School on the Chevin. They enjoyed the rope hammocks that they designed. The treasure hunt was exciting and pine cone animals were creative.
The children had lots of fun making dens, rope webs and mini animals.
